The weather was great the whole time (sunny and 80ºF in both Savannah and Charleston, though Charleston had a nice breeze) and we enjoyed a lot of outdoor dining. It totally stunk to walk off the plane in MKE to 44ºF...
We also learned three lessons on this trip:
- No more vacations to a large destination at the end of April where we have to do all the planning. Chip didn't have much time or energy to help with plans and I felt overwhelmed trying to make decisions.
- Just because a hotel is cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal.
- We both need to write down itineraries beforehand and discuss them. We missed out on a restaurant because Chip didn't write the address correctly and I didn't double check it. The one we ate at was really good, though, so it wasn't all bad.

you went on a trip? i hope it turned out to be fun!
That looks a little more nicer than ours. But I bet ours tasted just as good!
I just noticed the cost of that cake! Wow!
Yeah, I think that's the other reason I didn't get a slice--who knows how big it would have been for that much $ ... we barely managed to eat the thin slices!
We never added up our total cost, though. And I wonder if ours tasted better--fresher.
lovely daffodils! and sweet and salty cake sounds scrumptious....
And it's been fun 'harvesting' the flowers--they tend to droop after a day or two, so I have several vases full in the house right now!
