tweetie

The dare this week over at Daring Cardmakers features one of my most favoritist things: birds!

I went with a chickadee, using a wall stencil to paint the bird. Inside is blank, as I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet, but it's so nice and sunny that it probably should be a get well-type card!

It's beautiful and would be perfect as a get well card - it would cheer them up no end. Thanks for joining in with DCM this week.

Thanks, ladies! My hubby really likes it as well, so I think I'll let him use it to send to his mom--she just had knee surgery.

That's adorable! It will certainly cheer up anybody who receives it. I should go back to some card-making: it is such a nice, creative activity.
On other news, Novel Food #10 has officially started :)

Simona----wheeeeee! I've been waiting and waiting! Now to make something and blog about it.

Natalie--got it, but haven't had a chance to use it.

I'm going to see about using more stencils on some cards--the large size isn't something I usually do on cards, but it actually turned out great. The chickadee I made myself to add to the grape vine stencil in our kitchen, so I can even fashion my own!
