The water was pretty low--it hasn't rained here for at least two weeks... and the White River has virtually no current, so we had to paddle the whole time (we knew this going in--this section of river is great for a quick trip, as there's no shuttling needed!). It took us two hours total to paddle 4 miles. Not bad!
My left arm is a little sore, though.

Pat and I went on the Fox River between Bushnell and Hwy 50 the other day. We'd never been kayaking before. It was beautiful! And yes, I sure am sore now!
