Our poor fruit trees. They were bombarded this year with bees and wasps. Between the brown rot and insects (and that wind storm a few months ago), the peach tree suffered in its crop.


And apparently, once the sweetness of the peaches was gone, the hornets simply moved on to another available fruit:

Sheesh.

Then, the other day, Chip yells in the house, 'why didn't you tell me about the hornet nest on the roof?' 

[insert bug eyed response here] 

This explains why there have been so MANY of the annoying creatures this year...
