I saw this article ages ago, and even started the project (ages ago), but only just finished up the roll and got it developed.
I chose to damage the lens to see what would happen. Here are some samples (completely unedited) of what happens when you paint a coat of clear nail polish over the lens of your camera:
The dreamy, misty (and even ghostly--love that about the snow photo) quality is neat. The green photo is an example of using a tinted lens to enhance the color, giving something (in this case, I think it's our oregano plant) more oomph.
What will I use these for? No idea. But it was fun to experiment!
