twist

I saw a really cool idea posted on Pinterest by Carissa the Librarian recently, and took a few moments to play with it today!


First, I dug through Chip's junk-wood-garbage can and pulled out a nice sized block. Then I covered it with yarn (I think it's a blend... if that even matters). Here's the back:


As you can see (if you look veeery closely), I just taped the end piece.


Then I got out my brayer and some paint and went to town!

I love the fuzzies this yarn made, and how the image looks naturally framed, due to the size of the block. What I'll do next is let the string dry and then go over it again to see what kind of results happen. It may just blob, so redoing the string each time may be necessary.
